WWII U.S. Army HBT Fatigue Shirt ? 2nd Pattern ? 13-Star Buttons ? 1940s
Condition: Excellent vintage condition for its age. Light wear consistent with use, no major tears or damage. Original 13-star metal buttons intact. Faded stencil/markings inside collar.

Material: 100% Cotton Herringbone Twill (OD #7)
Era: WWII, circa 1943?1945
This authentic WWII U.S. Army Herringbone Twill (HBT) fatigue shirt is a 2nd pattern design adopted in the mid-war period. Features include:
? Classic olive drab herringbone twill cotton construction
? 13-star metal buttons, standard on WWII issue garments
? Two chest pockets with exposed buttons
? Straight hem and 5-button front
? Faint handwritten ?V 1497? inside collar area
Original sleeve chevrons are present, adding character and possible service history. These garments were standard issue for Army and Army Air Forces personnel throughout WWII and into the postwar years.
