The 1969 Christmas Plate has already become a greatly sought collector’s piece, and the 1970 edition will prove equally valued. A view of Trafalgar Square focusing on the Norwegian Christmas tree is exquisitely hand-ornamented I white bas-relief with encircling border of holly leaves. Elson’s column guarded by Landseer’s lions, St. Martin’s in the Field’s church and the National Gallery are depicted and is embossed in Blue.
