Today, it can be found growing in other places around the world as well. Wild West Organics dried artisan Greek organic oregano leaves (origanum vulgare var. hirtum) is hand harvested at the best time, just before it blooms, then sun-dried in hot weather. My drying method locks in the fragrant aroma, flavor, and goodness of the oregano plant. Dried Greek oregano has a pungent aroma and warm, rich flavor and are primarily used in dishes rather than fresh oregano leaves which have a milder taste and aroma. Wild West Organics has not applied chemical pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers in any of our carefully cultivated herb and pepper products.
